Concurrent sessions

Following the pattern of the eight previous International Low Vision Conferences, we are relying on an enthusiastic response to our Call for Abstracts whereby we will build the core of the program from the submissions for oral and poster presentations.

Oral Presentations

These presentations will be in the form of 12-minute talks with an additional 3 minutes for questions/discussions. As you will see when you visit the Abstract Submission Site, there are 90 possible themes that can be addressed, ranging from early intervention with visually impaired children to the needs of older people and from the demographics of low vision to service delivery models and public policy issues. We invite talks concerning issues across the life span and across the time course of intervention. If you cannot find a term in the list that adequately describes your work, please choose “Other” (specify). No list is ever complete and we invite you to expand it as necessary.

Poster Sessions

If you prefer to talk to people on a one-to-one basis about your work, the Poster Session is the place to be. Encompassing the same range of topics as the oral presentation, it gives you the opportunity for an alternative mode of communication. The posters will be presented in the Exhibition Hall throughout the conference and authors will be present at designated times. The Poster Session is a great way to meet people with similar interests with whom you can exchange ideas and establish new networks of communication and collaboration.
