A stroll through a maze of narrow lanes and old buildings provides a perfect opportunity to discover Old Montréal’s history and charm. The tour will feature a number of remarkable restorations that have breathed new life into the Old Port, including Jacques Cartier Square and Notre- Dame Basilica. Lunch is included.

Visit to the Botanical Garden, Biodome and Olympic Tower
Date: Monday, July 7, 2008
Hours: 9:00 to 13:00
Reservation deadline: June 20, 2008

With more than 20,000 species, the Montreal Botanical Garden awaits you with a great number of treasures such as its Japanese Pavilion, Chinese Garden, Insectarium and unique Courtyard of the senses, a 500-squaremeter space intended for visually impaired visitors, but also for anyone interested in seeing a garden in a different way. This Courtyard project was carried out with the help of the Institut Nazareth & Louis-Braille. Then experience the Biodome, a unique concept of “living” museum. Wander through four fullscale natural ecosystems of the Americas: the Tropical Forest, the St. Lawrence River, the Laurentian Forest and the Polar World. The day will end with a ride up the Funicular to the top of the Olympic Tower, the world’s tallest inclined tower, to admire the view of Montréal and the River.
Free for all duly-registered accompanying persons.

Discovery tour - The Laurentians
Date: tuesday, July 8, 2008

The Laurentians are among the oldest mountain chains in the world, located north of Montreal. This picturesque region of mountains, lakes and rivers is the playground of Montréalers, a place for fishing, skiing, golfing and beautiful scenery. The region has been able to preserve its natural setting, huge forests, typical villages, cozy valleys, and crystal-clear lakes on the way to the region’s foremost resort, Mont-Tremblant. There will be some free time to shop and browse in the quaint Village St-Bernard and the brave at heart will be able to ride up in the Gondola to admire the panoramic view from the top of the mountain. Bring your camera! Lunch will be served in the heart of the mountains.
