Dr. Dawn Guthrie is a Professor in the Departments of Kinesiology and Physical Education and of Health Sciences, Wilfrid Laurier University.
Dr. Guthrie is a gerontologist with additional training in epidemiology. She is an Associate Fellow with interRAI, a non-profit consortium of researchers and clinicians from over 30 countries.
Her main areas of research involve evaluating health services for older persons, including adults with combined vision and hearing loss, and individuals who are receiving palliative care services. Her research involves the development and testing of standardized assessment instruments and outputs that can be derived from these measures (e.g., health care quality indicators, decision-support tools).
