Dr. Kathy Pichora-Fuller is a professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto.
She investigates the effects of sensory and cognitive aging on health and social participation. She studies these issues in healthy older adults and those with dementia and is actively involved in teams of the Canadian Longitudinal Study of Aging (CLSA) and the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA).
She is beginning a CCNA project to determine if an intervention to counter-act negative views of aging (stigma) can improve outcomes for those with age-related sensory and cognitive declines.
